Amusing Monday: Sailor, read my shirt

I’m not sure why, but I am very fond of nautical stuff. I love to pore over ancient nautical charts, especially those of Puget Sound. In my home office, I have a framed display of nautical knots on my bookshelf. And in souvenir stores, I’m always looking at funny nautical T-shirts and imagining people wearing these on the high seas.

I don’t normally promote any one outlet, but I found a really nice collection of nautical Ts on the website Café Press, including the shirts shown below. (If you click on the image, you can see it a little better.)

'I only go boating on days that end in Y.'
'Port — Starboard'
'Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of milk'

'Time to swab the poop deck'
'Life is simple: Eat. sleep. sail.'
'If you can read this, hoist me back aboard.'
'Queen of the Sea'
'Definition: boat, n, a hole in the surface of water, into which money is thrown.'
'Sailors can take a lotta sheet'
