The Bainbridge Island Water Polo Club finished 11th in the Classic Division Bronze bracket at the Junior Olympics tournament last month in Northern California.
The club, which competed in the 14-year-old and under division, went 4-4 and included an exciting shootout in which Bainbridge goalkeeper Sky Baird made five saves and Hans Eineborg and Maxwell Eyrich scored.
Team members are Baird, Thomas Defawe, Maxwell Eyrich, Hans Eineborg, Clay Jablonski, Nathaniel Lapin, Gabriel Nathan, Brian Defoe, Oskar Bannister, Travis McCoy, Marshall Whittlesey, Oliver Mortell, Jacques Defawe, David Burton. Coaches are Kristin Gellert and Mei-Lin Cooper.
