The Puget Sound Swim Club in Port Orchard held its April Showers long-course meet last weekend at South Kitsap pool.
Swimmers from Olympic Aquatic Club, PSSC, Bremerton Trident Swim Team, Poulsbo Piranhas all participated in the meet.
Olympic won the combined team event with 417 points. They were followed by Pro Swimming (314.5), Eastside Aquatic (301.5), Poulsbo Piranhas (296), Puget Sound (205), Vashon Seals (129), Penguin Aquatics (106), Evergreen Swim Club (42) and Bangor Trident Swim Team (28).
Since it was mostly a local meet, I’m not going to list everyone who placed among the top eight, but here’s a look at who picked up individual and relay titles. I have included the finals sheet as a PDF for you to check out. Click here for PDF
In the girls 10 and under age group, Olympic Aquatic Club’s Amanda Ashmore won the 50-meter butterfly in 39.70 seconds and the 100 fly in 3 minutes, 19.75 seconds. OAC’s Diddle Devine won the 50 breaststroke in 46.70. Brianna Hoffman of Poulsbo Piranhas won the 100 freestyle in 1:11.89 and the 200 free in 2:45.18.
In 11-12 age group, Eleanor Beers of Poulsbo Piranhas won the 50 free in 29.09 and the 100 fly in 1:13.96. OAC’s Kira Ashmore won the 200 fly in 3:02.76, the 50 breaststroke in 41.38 and the 400 individual medley in 5:59.33.
In the 13-14 age group, Kira Crane won the 50 free in 30.98, the 200 free (2:31.77), 200 backstroke (2:52.20) and 100 breast (1:33.99). Chloe Partsch of OAC claimed the top spot in the 100 fly (1:18.29) while teammate Tatiana Tubberville won the 400 IM in 6:26.46.
The 15 and over age group saw Sydney Bishoff of PSSC win the 50 free (29.25), 100 free (1:05.57), 400 free (5:05.79), 100 back (1:18.96) and 200 IM (2:45.28).
PPST’s Katherine Andersen won the 100 breast in 1:19.25.
BTST won the 10 and under girls 200 free relay in 2:54.77 and PSSC won the 200 medley relay in 3:51.72. PSSC also won the 11-12 200 free relay in 2:40.75 and 200 medley relay in 3:16.92. OAC’s 13 and over 200 free relay won in 2:05.77 while the 200 medley relay won in 2:25.27.
In the boys 9-10 400 free, OAC’s Andrew Remminger won in 5:45.23. He also claimed the titles in the 200 free (2:43.00), 50 fly (38.54) and 200 IM (3:06.84). Isaac Beers of PPST claimed the 50 free title in 33.71 and the 50 back in 39.57.
In the 11-12 age group, Tim Gallagher of the PPST won the 50 free in 29.14, 100 free (1:04.17), 200 free (2:21.91), 200 back (2:43.62) and 100 back (1:16.39). RJ Thomasberg of OAC won the 100 fly in 1:21.41.
Dylan Macabitas of PSSC claimed the 50 free title in the 13-14 age group in 28.52 and the 200 back (2:30.77). Nathan Ramey of PPST won the 200 breast (2:57.03) and the 100 fly (1:08.80).
In the 15 and over age group PPST’s Adriel Moran finished first in the 50 free (28.16), 100 free (1:01.99), 100 back (1:14.03) and 200 back (2:42.41) while Roo Jenkins won the 200 free (2:18.09), 100 breast (1:25.10) and 100 fly (1:10.73) titles. PSSC’s Nils Johnson claimed the 400 free title in 5:21.96 and the 200 IM in 2:45.29.
In the 13 and over relays, PSSC won the 200 free relay in 1:59.45 while OAC won the 200 medley relay in 2:11.53.
