Bremerton’s Nathan Adrian left little doubt as to the outcome of
the 100-meter freestyle Sunday in the 2nd International Meeting of
the Mediterranean in Marseille, France.
Adrian won the event by nearly a full second over fellow California
alum Anthony Ervin, 48.11 to Ervin’s 49.08. Gregory Mallet of
France was third in 49.31.
Ervin had the fastest-qualifying time from the prelims in 50.14,
edging Adrian in 50.19.
It was Adrian’s second win of the event as he captured the 50 free
title on Saturday.
