Win tickets to We Wrote the Book on Connectors’ Sweet Dreams Prom at the Crocodile

My friends in We Wrote the Book on Connectors are having a bit of a party Friday night at the Crocodile. Actually, it’s not a party so much as it is a prom. Well, let’s just call it a party prom because every WE show is a party. Anyway, the good sirs of WE want you to be at their first ever Sweet Dreams Prom Night Friday. The bill features three of the finest indie pop bands in town: We Wrote the Book On Connectors, M. Bison and Tennis Pro. What do these three have in common aside from being indie-poptastic? All three have the distinction of having played an Ear Candy show at the High Dive and take from me, you want to be at this show. To enter to win a spot on the show’s guest list for you and a friend, email me with PROM in the subject line and your name in the body field. A winner will be chosen and notified Thursday.

The show has a prom theme (and perhaps the cutest concert poster ever) so everyone is encouraged to dress in their finest prom attire. All of the bands will be doing a few nostalgic prom cover songs, a photographer will be shooting prom photos and people will be able to vote for King and Queen who will be crowned later in the evening. Here’s the scoop on the show from WE’s Mike Votava:

Every so often this town needs to dress up, grab a date, throw some salt on the dance floor and get down like it was high school all over again. Only this time your high school is the Crocodile, and your lunch tickets get you PBR.

We Wrote the Book on Connectors, M. Bison, and Tennis Pro are ready to serve you from the punchbowl of good times at this once in a lifetime event full of formal wear, music, hairstyles from yester-year, and the sexiest chaperones you’ll ever call “coach”.  Come on down to the Croc for a Prom that would make a wallflower pull down their pants and dance.

The music is catchy fun, and they’re not afraid to have a good time on stage. Each band will be playing a few nostalgic hits to share with you a big ‘ol good time and celebrate returning to the Crocodile.  So grab your gal, your guy, or your parents, join corsage covered hands on the pedestal of rock and smile for your prom photo (yes there will be prom photos).  No expense has been spared to blow out a Prom with all the fixin’s. This show promises to get you laid, even if we have to do it ourselves.
