I’m forwarding this message from the Washington State Ferry advisory service, received at 2:57 today.
“Power has been restored at Fauntleroy. Currently, there are
trees blocking
Sedgwick Road, ferry traffic may be delayed. Ferries on this route
may be
running about 20 minutes late due to the earlier power outage.”
If you can read this, you haven’t been affected by the power outage that hit Southworth earlier. Kitsap County Auditor Karen Flynn called me about 3 p.m. today from her home in Southworth to say the lights were out there.
We will be tracking the weather, with high winds predicted, throughout the evening. If you have weather-related information on your area, call reporter Andy Binion at (360) 792-9216 or, if you can, e-mail Andrew.Binion@kitsapsun.com.
On the scanner we are hearing a lot of activity, especially in the north end of the county, with branches down, wires smoking. We just heard of a tree into wires on Phillips Road SE between Mullenix and Sedgwick Roads.
Stay safe, and let me know how you are weathering the first storm of the year.
