FRAMES: Photo Challenge #47: Your Favorite Photo of 2011

It’s a tradition here at the Sun for Larry and I to pick our favorite photos of 2011 to cap off the year. It’s a time that we loathe and love all at the same time since it’s a chance to revisit photos that we really enjoy and are proud to have shot as well as a chance to wade through those photos that we were maybe a little embarrassed to have had our name published beneath them.

So in that spirit of things (and since I am currently wading through all of our photos to get those in order for our 2011 slideshows) your photo challenge (if you choose to accept it of course) is to show us your favorite photo that you shot in 2011.

Here are the rules:

1) Your photo must have been shot in 2011  (see how bold and underlined that statement is…that means I mean it! 😉 ).

2) Upload a maximum of 3 photos (uploading to the challenge site is easy and directions are at the end of this post, shoot me an email : mreid@kitsapsun.com if you have problems). I know it’s tough to edit down trust me, Larry had over 40 photos in his final edit folder and I had just as many, so edit down to three, for your finals.

3) Your real life name must be somewhere on the upload form.

4) DEADLINE is January 9th.

Here is the link for the stand-outs of the Best of 2010 photo challenge from last year

And here are Larry and I’s slideshows of our best photos from 2010 (I would have posted our best of 2011 but I’m not finished with them yet so those will come later this week):

————————–

***To recap: Every week we will post a new photography “challenge” to help build on all of our current photography skills and to encourage everyone to get out and get shooting (cameras not guns). While we encourage you to shoot the challenge in the week that it is assigned, we will however accept entries taken prior to the challenge assignment date.

When you’ve got your favorite shot, login to the Kitsap Sun Your Media Site (if you don’t already have a login, you can quickly set it one up) or click the “Kitsap Frames Photo Challenge Entries” button over there on the right side of the page and upload your image to the Kitsap Frames Photo Challenge Channel (the channels run along the left hand side of the page, again if you can’t seem to get it into the channel just upload it normally and send me an email and we’ll move it).

  1. You might want to correct the first rule. I’m sure most of us can figure it out, but you are so emaphatic, you might get images from 2010.

    1. Thanks Connie! I corrected that same typo earlier in the post…apparently I just keep living in the past today. 😉
