Got Something to Say About Port Orchard’s Boat Ramp?

Our business and economy reporter Rachel Pritchett is working on a story about the Port Orchard boat ramp, which is in need of repairs. The question is, who should pay for repairs? The ramp itself is owned by the city, but the parking lot and small park are owned by the Port of Bremerton (which Rachel follows). The ramp sees commercial use — Safeboats is one company — as well as recreational use.

If you have something to say about the ramp, contact Rachel at (360) 475-3783 or rpritchett@kitsapsun.com.

  1. I tried the swimming lsenoss at the SKHS pool and it was an absolutely horrible experience for my young kids the water isn’t heated. They hopped in and cried and wanted out My son was shivering and his lips turned blue. What a terrible way for children to get used to the water. After that I signed up my kids at Gig Harbor YMCA and my kids loved the swim lsenoss from day 1 no other facility here in PO has comfortable swimming water that I am aware of. And as a bonus! the YMCA has the kid watch program so my kids can play while I take the plunge into the deep water aerobics class which I really enjoy.
