Another week, another 30 pot shop applications processed for Kitsap.

The state Liquor Control Board is still working its way through a backlog of recreational marijuana business applications filed before the Dec. 20 deadline.

There are 92 applications listed for retail shops in Kitsap, up from 64 last week.

The applications will be vetted at the state and local level. Qualified applications will be entered into a lottery to determine which receive the limited number of license endorsements allowed.

The state will approve 10 retail outlets in Kitsap, including two in Bremerton and one on Bainbridge Island.

There are also 64 proposed growing operations and 47 processing businesses in Kitsap. Those licenses aren’t capped.
