A new Silverdale restaurant will serve up specialty burgers with retro style.

Owner Nav Maju hopes to have Groovey Burger open by the end of December at 9601 Mickelberry Road. The space was formerly home to a Quiznos sandwich shop, just off Bucklin Hill Road.

Maju, a Bremerton native, is already building a following for his food by offering burgers in places like RK Mart in Manette. He posts the times for these popups on the Groovey Burger Facebook page.

Maju said the Silverdale restaurant will have an old-fashioned vibe with a juke box, diner-style seating and fast-food service.

“It will be a fun place to go,” he said.

Maju plans to offer a diverse menu, including a selection of $2.99 meals.

“That way everyone can be included,” he said.
