The north side is represented well in this week’s West Sound Boys Soccer Power Poll.
Bainbridge, North Kitsap and Kingston are the top three teams, with Bainbridge and Kingston playing to a scoreless draw on Monday. North Kitsap is the only team yet to lose or tie this season.
1. Bainbridge (6-0-2): The Spartans are leading the Metro Mountain Division and have allowed only two goals this season.
2. North Kitsap (8-0-0): The Vikings blanked previously unbeaten Kingston 1-0 last week and like Bainbridge has been scored on just twice this season. Have a 24-game home winning streak dating back to 2007.
3. Kingston (7-1-1): The Bucs continue to play strong defense, but do they have the scoring punch to go deep in the playoffs?
4. South Kitsap (6-1-2): The defending 4A state champs tied Gig Harbor 1-1 last week and haven’t lost since a 1-0 loss to NK in the season opener.
5. Sequim (6-2-0): The Wolves nearly knocked off NK in Poulsbo last week, holding a 1-0 lead with 10 minutes remaining before losing 2-1 in overtime.
