Thanks you for the early warning about this tsunami – some of us have relatives living in those regions.
You’re welcome, Mark! Updates will be given throughout the night at PTWC.WEATHER.GOV, so please refer your relatives to that website so they can stay informed! 🙂
Weird how this is not on local news stations websites… thanks for the info… really appreciated!
I live in Japan and can appreciate the need for those who might be effected to follow the news to insure your safety.
Thank you, Kip! Agreed, any bit of news is important in a situation like this
Stacee: The reason why local news stations probably aren’t jumping the gun on this one is because, at least as of now, this may not directly affect the Pacific Northwest. Still not a good reason why it’s not more publicized, but that could be part of it.
Have friends on Honeymoon in Mauai…what’s the situation there?
Luckily everyone is OK! The Tsunami Warnings were downgraded earlier this morning. They escaped a potentially destructive event!
Much better to be forewarned, and then not have a catastrophe, than to be unprepared, and wonder why nobody gave a “heads-up”. Good work, Matthew!
Agreed! Thanks, Mark!
