I was thinking about the city’s Halloween party this Friday, about the Scare-dian park Spooky Trail.
As a caution to anxious parents with anxious kids, the city clarified the spooky trail isn’t “too scary.”
Then I started thinking about things that aren’t too scary, and I thought of the Huskies.
Nothing scary about them. Nothing at all.
The Huskies are the least scary thing ever. I remember when we used to, you know, win a game once in a while.
How’s the soccer team doing?

What I’m afraid of, what I think would be truly scary, is what happened last NFL season when Miami finally won a game, and the players rushed the field, in front of empty stands, hooting and hollering like they had won the Superbowl. That was embarrassing for me, and I’m not a Miami fan. If the Huskies ever win a game again – and they have a chance against Wazzu – I really don’t want to see them celebrate. I want to see them hang their heads in shame.
Soccer? What’s that?

Andrew, you need to switch to Bremerton Pee Wee Football. Currently D-String (7 & 8 year olds) for the Warren Avenue Knights is undefeated (7-0) heading into the playoffs on Saturday. Sure it is mostly a running game at this age level, but these kids are a lot more fun to watch than the Huskies. Maybe there is hope for the UW if some of these pint sized players head over there in say….9 or 10 years.
Colleen…You are right. I never missed a Pee Wee game and had a great time cheering the kids on… funny and fun.

What would be great is for the Pee-Wees to play the Huskies.
Trouble is the Huskies would lose.
We’re so bad people are lighting themselves on fire in Red Square.
…and how do you spell “guarentee?”
Nikky…have you heard anything about that incident over there on the campus? Any idea on the reason behind it?
I trucked on down about 20 minutes after it happened to take a look after receiving a hot tip from a peer. Looks like he was a disgruntled ex-employee who decided to go out in a blaze of glory.

Duh. Guarantee. (corrected 11/2)
Thanks, Nikky. What does that say about us UW alums? (’02)
We can’t spell and we can’t play football.
I really liked hanging out in that spot in Red Square. Wonder if it will be haunted now.
Probably will be haunted.
I still have yet to go ghost hunting at Gould hall (where that murder-suicide was a year or two ago).
Warren Ave D-String, still undefeated (8-0) after the first round of playoffs on Saturday against South Kitsap. They will advance now to the Semi-Finals this Wednesday (11/5/08). Go Knights!
