Starbucks to West Bremerton

Real Estate agent Jo Soss has a blog in which she reports Starbucks is coming to West Bremerton, along with Walgreen’s.

The new store will be across Arsenal National from Rite-Aid, she wrote.

Starbucks has a store downtown, which was the first free-standing Starbucks in Bremerton when it opened in 2004. And unless I’m sadly mistaken, isn’t there a Starbucks kiosk in Safeway on Callow? I thought there was, but can’t find reference to it in the phone book or online.

  1. Steve,

You are correct, there is a Starbucks kiosk inside the Safeway on Callow. I suspect the new Starbucks will have a drive-through window, that has been a growth engine for Starbucks for the past 5 years or so.

Myself, I prefer Bay St Espresso and the Fraiche Cup for my latte. Great service and the dark roast both use is wonderful.

  2. Steven, I thought the Walgreen’s was a done deal. My husband the UPS man for that area heard about it a couple of months ago from customers on his route. We were really hoping it was NOT true. That is a great property location and deserves something better than two businesses that have already saturated the Bremerton market. I personally think Walgreen’s are junky looking inside and do not shop at any of their locations. I do know that the Rite Aid has been seeing much larger sales since it moved to the new building, just one parking lot over from it’s old location.

  3. What is the point of putting ANOTHER pharmacy type store across from ANOTHER pharmacy type store?

Granted the West Side of town can use more stores, but the location for this place is not the best idea.

There is a nice vacant lot at the old tennis courts by the bowling alley that would make for a nice store location.
