The final component of this year’s Roads Preservation Program, Halls Hill Road, will receive roadway improvement repairs next week. These improvements include excavation of failed asphalt, reestablishing the road base and applying a new asphalt overlay over the repaired road sections. The location of the work is on Halls Hill Road, from Rockaway Beach Road to the intersection with 3 T Road, Blakely Avenue, Blakely Hill Road and Seaborn Road.

The contractor’s work is anticipated to begin Tuesday, October 18, 2011 and is expected to be completed by the end of the week. However, the work may be delayed and extended due to inclement weather. The road will be reduced to one lane with flaggers. Residents are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic delays, which could last up to thirty minutes while paving operations are ongoing. Work is expected to take place from 7 am to 7 pm.
