  1. We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it any longer. Call to Recall Mayor K: http://www.YouTube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz-e3n68VT8&feature=related.

Changing our City of Bainbridge form of government to rid the island of the shadow of Mayor K is a stretch. The fault lies within.

The fact Dennis Vogt, Rolfes, Rockefeller and Maron can game the system to jam this legislation through is testament to why we don’t want the change. This “special vote” will cost the taxpayers $87,000 all because the elite believe the voters are too stupid to have more than one item on the November ballot.

The voters will give a big yawn to this one and it will cost us $87K.

When will Knobloch, Peters and Vancil announce their candidacy? When will Mayor K reveal she wants even more as another term.

Watch http://www.YouTube.com deceipt, deception, Mayoral Recall Bainbridge.

Don’t give COBI more power. They have abused what power they have and don’t deserve more.

  2. While I realize that this is an abbreviated story, I am rather surprised, Tristan, that you did not include the fact that Debbie Vancil stated to the Council that the Council-Manager issue will be splitting the vote with three other ballot issues and that the estimated cost would in fact be $15,000.

  3. A few clarifications:
1)The cost for the vote will be about $15,000, not 75, due to shared ballot issues.
2)The Mayor would have the option of becoming a council member for the remainder of her term, but is not required to do so.
3)A professional city manager could be hired to help the City realign its priorities with its revenues.

The broad-based citizen initiative to change our form of government (Vote Council-Manager ’09) is about considering the most efficient, most effective form of government to serve a city of our size and needs – now and in the future. It is not about the current Mayor, the current Council, or the current City Administrator. Our goal is to remove politics and personalities from city administration, to optimize professional performance. Please attend one of the community meetings beginning on March 31st to find out more.

  4. Wow, what a bargain ! Compared to free, $35,000 is very very expensive. Or $15,000 is expensive — too expensive

Speaking of the vote, James M. Olsen, Shining City Media reminds:

We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it any longer. See YouTube for alternative aimed at the cancer directly. Call to Recall: http://www.YouTube.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz-e3n68VT8&feature=related.
