  1. Ferry traffic is horrendous and continuous. It can take 20-30 minutes to drive the 10 miles from the north end of the island into town on the ONLY main highway. The ferry is expensive to walk on or drive on. Many stores on Bainbridge cater to tourists with expensive useless stuff. You have to go to Seattle or the 30-40 miles to Silverdale to shop. There is very limited parking for locals. Homes are getting to be way overpriced with lots of California style developments and Condo’s going in. Basically, Bainbridge is an overpriced, overdeveloped, crowded town that is promoting the small town, idyllic atmosphere that it no longer has.
