Gray Not on Wooden List Anymore
Thursday, January 6th, 2011Gonzaga’s Steven Gray didn’t make the John Wooden Wooden midseason watch list. The Bainbridge grad was on the preseason list, which included 50 players. The list has been trimmed to 30.
Washington State’s Clay Thompson and Washington’s Isaiah Thomas made the cut.
Gray, a 6-5 senior guard who was slowed by a back injury last month, is averaging a team-high 14.1 points and 4.7 assists for the Zags, who openn up WCC play on Saturday. Gonzaga has won 10 straight WCC titles.
Gray’s projected to go in the second round of the NBA Draft in this mock draft.
