Nathan Adrian wins second gold medal
August 4th, 2012 by Annette GriffusBremerton’s Nathan Adrian left little doubt as to who was going to win the 400-meter medley relay.
Adrian, getting the lead from Michael Phelps after 300 meters, jumped in the pool and crushed the rest of the field to help lead the United States to a gold medal at the Olympic Aquatic Centre in London.
Adrian’s time of 46.85 seconds was his personal fastest split. He won the 100-meter freestyle on Wednesday in 47.52. Adrian also earned a silver in the 400-meter relay last Sunday.
The win gives Phelps a record 22 medals, 18 golds.
