Vipers win opener in Colorado

The West Sound Vipers 14U beat Santa Fe (N.M.) Drillers 10-0 in its opening pool-play game at the Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs, Colo., on Wednesday morning.

Matt Henckle, Brion Anduze and Griffen McCormick combined for a one-hit shutout. Tyler Ludlow went 2 for 3 with a home run, and Nick Strange went 3 for 3 at the plate.

The Vipers started Game 2 at 12:45 p.m.
