Amusing Monday: I think it’s watermelon time

With the return of hot weather, I heard someone on television suggest that we should all be eating watermelon for hydration.

According to the National Watermelon Promotion Board, watermelon contains 92 percent water and is the most consumed melon in the U.S. So instead of drinking water, just scarf down a few watermelon.

The video here is “Watermelon Nights” by Dan Meth with music by John Crave. Officially, it is Meth Minute Number 11, released in December of 2007 — but it has been popping up on blogs all summer in reference to the heat.

Meth Minute 39 is a series of 39 wild-and-crazy videos that Dan Meth produced over the course of 39 weeks. In his own estimation, “Watermelon Nights” was the “sweetest” in more ways than one.
