Amusing Monday: Slip slidin’ down a slippery slope

August 17th, 2009 by cdunagan

The weather appears to be heating up, so I thought you might enjoy some videos about water slides.

The first was featured on the ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” It includes some nonwater slides as well.

The second shows a homemade water slide called Ron’s Slip and Slide Extravaganza, which takes off from the top of a tall house and ends up in a vinyl-sided swimming pool. This is the original version, in which YouTube removed the entertaining soundtrack for copyright reasons. You can still find poor copies of the original video, backed by Steppenwolf’s “Magic Carpet Ride.”

If you like standup comedy, Sebastian Maniscalco compares new water parks to old ones around when he grew up.

Finally, click here for a collection of signs related to swimming that may bring a chuckle.
