I apologize to the Internet. That’s me. Bad hair day and all. That’s not my (Potential) problem, though. Do you see it? Get it yet? No?

OK, here’s a hint. I’m a journalist covering the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. I’ll be busy, stressed, possibly confused at times. I’m a nice guy, sure. More than willing to lend a hand if you need me to point you to the nearest facilities, or the gondola line. (Assuming I figure out where those things are when I get to Vancouver/Whistler on Sunday.)

But there’s one thing that I’m not qualified or trained to be. One very important thing. One very important thing that is EVERYWHERE in B.C. right now. Check out these next couple of photos, and see if it sinks in.

A couple of months ago, I bought a new ski jacket. And it’s the EXACT same color as those of Team 2010, the legions of volunteers at the Winter Olympics. (Bonus points, it’s from a Canadian company.) I’m honestly worried that the entire week I’m there people will ask me for help, directions, etc., and I’ll have to constantly apologize, tell them I’m just another annoying journalist, and shuffle them off to the real volunteers.

If anybody has a waterproof outer shell I can borrow for a week (That isn’t teal blue), that’d be really, really awesome. :)
