We had a little problem with our internet connection here at the media center, but, seeing as I’m writing this, you probably figured we got it taken care of.

In a few minutes, Chuck Stark, Larry Steagall and me, Derek Sheppard, are going to enjoy (maybe some sarcasm in there…) a 2-3 hour bus ride to Whistler. Once there, Chuck and Larry will check in on Bree’s training runs, and I might head out to see what the atmosphere’s like during the U.S.-Canada hockey game.

When we were in Vancouver last night, I kept remarking how I’d NEVER seen Vancouver this packed. I went to college just across the border, so I’ve been a number of times. In reading the papers this morning, seems Canadians agree.

Here was the Canadian word of the night: “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!”

In a close second, third and fourth was “GO, CANADA, GO!” In some cases, “GO, CNAANADA, GO.”

Yes, there were plenty of spirits consumed in Vancouver.

Stay tuned for updates today from Whistler.
