First it’s a 15 minute shuttle to from the hotel to the media center. Then a 2-hour ride from the media center to the media center in Whistler. Then 20-minute ride to the sliding center. Or centre.

I thought about it last night, and it’s like flying to San Francisco – and back – every day for work. Shuttling between Vancouver and Whistler to cover bobsled and everything else here in Whistler has been a little exhausting, and by the bleary look in our eyes, it’s catching up with us today.

But hey, there’s free coffee when we get there.

When you leave the media center in Vancouver, there’s a map where they’ve encouraged the media and volunteers to write who they are, where they’re from and what outlet they’re with.

Here’s Larry working hard on the bus.

And Chuck, working hard on the bus.

I’d love to complain, but I really can’t. We’re getting ready for another shuttle ride in a bit for Bree Schaaf’s last two runs tonight in the bobsled competition, where she currently sits in sixth.

Bus rides are tiring, but at least we didn’t have to push a truck to get to the race.

Keep an eye out for results later between 5-8 p.m. Or don’t, if you want to wait to watch it on TV tonight. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
