A few folks have asked me about the weird numbers that appear after some people’s user names.

The numbers are an add-on from the system to hide your e-mail address, for readers who used their e-mail as their user names.

To change it, click on your name in the upper lefthand corner of the screen (in black, above Kitsap Sun). Click “Edit your profile. Erase the part of your username with the e-mail address (or change it altogether if you’d like), click “Next” then make sure to click “Save”.

Got any other questions about the site? Ask away!

I cannot see any of the comments since the new system has been put in place. I have a field to make a post, but cannot see any. The entire “Comments” bar with “Hide/Show” does not show up on my computer. I can see it from other computers, so it’x not my settings (I don’t think.) Can you help?

It could be that you don’t have javascript enabled on your computer. We may be better able to find out why if you go to http://products.kitsapsun.com/report/ to report the issue. The program will pull some basic information from your computer that will help us determine the problem.

I have noticed that it takes a bit of extra time for the comments to load on the page. If I scroll down immediately to the end of the article, the comments aren’t there. But when the page fully loads, they appear.
