Spring Divisional Championships this weekend

The Pacific Northwest Spring Divisional age group championships are this weekend at King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

The meet is Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.

Among the local clubs competing are Olympic Aquatic Club, Poulsbo Piranhas Swim Team, Bainbridge Island Swim Club and Puget Sound Swim Club.

Individually, PPST’s Isaac Beers is seeded No. 1 in the 10-year-old boys 50-yard butterfly and fourth in the 50 back. Margaret Hayes of BISC is seeded first in the girls 50 backstroke in the girls 10 and under, third in the 100 freestyle, and second in the 50 fly and 50 free while PPST’s Ava Harris is the fourth seed in that event.

In the 13-year-old girls division, Samantha Sinopole of PPST is seeded third in the 200 breaststroke. In the boys 11-12, BISC’s John Velisaris is seeded third in the 50 free.
