PPST’s Gallagher tops events in last weeks Summer Splash

Timothy Gallagher, Poulsbo Piranhas Swim Team, won the 11-12 50-meter backstroke,  100 butterfly and 100 backstroke at the Start of Summer Splash last Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

In the 50 backstroke, Gallagher touched the wall in 35.52 seconds, ahead of KING-Aquatics’ Nick Lewis in 37.48. Gallagher finished in 1 minute, 15.08 seconds in the butterfly, well ahead of runner-up Hensen Lam of WhiteWater Aquatics, which is hosting the meet, in 1:18.03. He finished in 1:19.26 to win the backstroke.

Gallagher was also second in the 50 freestyle in 29.98. He was also fourth in the 50 breaststroke (40.42). Gallagher also won the 200 fly, but the event had just two competitors. He finished in 2:55.77.
