Bainbridge Island Swim Club’s Lia Campbell was selected to USA Swimming’s 2013 Western Zone Select Camp, Thursday-Sunday at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz.
Campbell, 13, was selected as one of several emerging athletes to the national scene from the local zone. Campbell was ranked No. 1 in the nation in the 100-freestyle as a 12-year-old last year. She’s also won PNS and age-group titles. Campbell also holds nine of 13 PNS records this year.
Joining Campbell are Lindsay Seidner (Olympic Cascade Aquatics), Thomas Anderson (King Aquatic Club), Aaron Elhaff (Bellevue Club Swim Team) and Tim Kralj (Gold’s Aquatic Club).
