The Kitsap Pumas lead the Cascade Surge 2-0 at halftime. The Surge are down to nine players after two red cards so it looks like the Pumas chances of holding on are good.
If they do, the Pumas will be guaranteed a berth in the U.S. Open Cup — the 64-team tourney that includes all levels of soccer throughout the country. The Pumas will be one of eight USL Professional Development League franchises to qualify. The top team in each of the PDL’s eight divisions (after four weeks) earn spots.
