REVIEW: Rock The Bells at The Gorge
September 8th, 2008 by travis hayRock The Bells could have been a great event and a possible watershed moment for hip hop in the Northwest. Instead, poor attendance (less than 5,000 people showed up) and the lack of A-List hip-hop talent made the event just a pretty okay festival and a decent, not great, way to end the Gorge’s 2008 season.
I reviewed the festival for The P-I so I won’t go into details about the show, but you can read about it by clicking here.
I have some personal business to take care on the other side of the mountains (keep in mind I am blogging from Wenatchee) that will cause me to be away from a computer until Tuesday evening, but when I return I will post a photo gallery of Rock The Bells, as well as another Bumbershoot gallery (this one is of pictures I took) and wrap up my Bumbershoot coverage with posts about The Maldives, Flobots and Blitzen Trapper. I might be attending the Black Crowes concert at the Puyallup Fair tonight (for fun, not for an assignment) so if I make it to the show I will write about that too.
