My expectations were low considering all the hype prior so they really had nowhere to go but up. I found every second of Scott, et al, mesmerizing! It was a blast from the past that goes down in my top 5 concerts. We see what we see in our own view but so glad mine wasn't as ho hum as yours! Having never seen STP live but alas, a longtime fan, I was nothing short of blown away. My expectations were low considering all the hype prior so they really had nowhere to go but up.
