A couple of items from the South Kitsap School District Web site:

TUESDAY
South Kitsap
Members of the South Kitsap School Board will meet with the public at 6 a.m. Tuesday at Uncle Dave’s Café, 3280 SE Lund Ave. in Port Orchard.

WEDNESDAY – Each Wednesday morning during the school year, starting September 10, staff at South Kitsap schools meet to collaborate. Students are asked to arrive 45 minutes late on Wednesdays. The purpose of this time is to analyze student data, review best instructional practices, and modify and improve instruction based on student needs. For more information, contact your local school.

    Yet to see any improvments from this rediculious late start non-sense. Just another way to inconvience/annoy the parents.

    Sometimes good things aren’t visible immediately. If you have ever planted bulbs, a lot goes on under the surface before the flower emerges.

    Please share your concerns. If you aren’t comfortable posting your concerns in the blog, please feel free to give me a call or email. Our contact information is on the SKSD website. If you aren’t comfortable calling me, there are four other board members. Pick one you are most comfortable with and let us know your concerns.

    From what I have seen and heard, good things happening in our district because of the time this gives staff to collaborate on best practices and share strategies that work with specific students.
