She said that everyone has been so grateful that the merchants and the community responded so well. On Friday someone walked in with a $1,000 check. Mallory Jackson with the Frame Shop said that two huge bins were filled with food. Another $250 came in to Moondogs Too. The 26th Dems donated $150. All total, they deposited something like $2,100 after two days. Food donations were significant, too. My friend on the board said, "Stop reading those blogs." She's right. Nothing good ever dwells there. I asked where the blame should be placed. When an organization struggles, blame is placed on everyone. This organization has been struggling with the board blaming the staff and vice versa. I mentioned that as a problem. You failed to read the part that said that maybe there is no real place to place blame. And, I certainly DID NOT chastise the downtown merchants.
