Fund raiser for The Salvation Army this Saturday Nov. 17

November 13th, 2012 by Sally Santana

Every year, the final event of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is the fund raiser (by love offering) for The Salvation Army, a linchpin in our county’s community safety net. Held at their site, 832 6th St. in Bremerton, it is a special lunch provided by a popular eatery. This year, Famous Dave’s is donating the meal of pulled pork sandwiches and additional goodies. The dessert is a draw on it’s own! We’re having Pink Champagne Cake from our own McGavin’s Bakery. The time is from Noon to 1:30 pm. Servers include Sen. Christine Rolfes, Bremerton Mayor Lent and Poulsbo Mayor Erickson, Commissioner Charlotte Garrido, and the East Bremerton Rotary. It’s good food and fun for the whole family at a price you can afford. And we’ll have an outstanding musician providing ambiance.  Last year we raised around $500. Please come and be a part of this very special event.
