Hunger Walk & Rally for Bremerton Food Banks Sunday Nov. 11th
November 2nd, 2012 by Sally SantanaBring your nonperishable food items, along with diapers, laundry and dish soap, etc. with you to Star of the Sea Youth Center on 6th St. (old Canopy World) on Sunday, Nov. 11th at 1:30 pm. Deposit your items in the waiting Bremerton Foodline truck then trek down 6th St. (Rev. Marta Schellberg of Bremerton United Methodist Church will lead the group) to the Norm Dicks Gov. Center for a rally. Speakers include Mayor Patty Lent, Bremerton Foodline exec. dir. Patti Peterson, and some recipients of the three benefiting food banks, BFL, The Salvation Army, and St. Vincent de Paul. Please print the flyer to distribute and let others know. Our food banks are desperate and need the community’s assistance to help keep our neighbors in need healthy and safe.
