2012 Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week Schedule of Events

Sunday, Nov. 11: Hunger Walk from Star of the Sea Youth Center down to Norm Dicks Government Center. Begins at 2 pm.

Monday, Nov. 12: Warm4Winter Blessing of Outerwear/Lunch. Bremerton United Methodist Church, 1150 Marine Dr., Bremerton, Noon to 1:30 pm.

Thursday, Nov. 15: Olympic College Connect. Bremer Student Center. 10 am to 1 pm

Friday, Nov.16: “Eat Out So Others Can Eat” Fund raiser for free meal sites. Restaurants/stores donate a percentage of the day’s sales to the site(s) of their choice.

Saturday, Nov. 17: Fund raiser (by love offering) for The Salvation Army. Lunch at The Salvation Army, 832 Sixth St., Bremerton. Noon to 1:30 pm. Famous Dave’s is providing the meal. Dessert is Pink Champagne cake from McGavin’s Bakery. Helper/servers include Sen. Christine Rolfes, Bremerton Mayor Patty Lent and Poulsbo Mayor Becky Erickson, the East Bremerton Rotary, and others.
