skeptic (his words, not mine) wonders about “the plethora of
highway signs along Washington’s major
four-lane routes and Interstates promoting the new cable barriers
in the
median that are supposed to safely keep cars from meeting head-on
at
high speeds if they cross over into the wrong lanes.
It seems to me they’d be able to put in more miles of barrier if
they
didn’t buy so many signs touting them.

6th and Warren Lane Fix May Be Coming
The in basket: One of the most frequently asked questions of the Road Warrior is why both inside lanes on Sixth and 11th streets at Warren Avenue in Bremerton are signed for left turns only, instead of letting drivers in the middle lane go either left or straight ahead.
Residents on East 17th See Wish Come True
The in basket: I notice that East 17th Street in Bremerton has gotten a new coat of asphalt. It must have pleased Diane Pheasant and Andrea Barros, who protested to the Road Warrior in early 2005 that their bumpy, rutted street was not being attended to while a lesser street, E. 13th had gotten new asphalt in 2004.
