The out basket: The presence or absence of the sign doesn’t change the rules for that turn. The left turn is legal on the solid green ball light, but any turning car must yield to oncoming through traffic. The left turner has the right of way only when the green arrow light is lit. That intersection has what is called a “doghouse” light, so called because the accumulated signal heads former the shape of a small house. It has both a green arrow lamp and a solid green ball light, which display one after another.
Luke Korpi of the city street engineers said the sign apparently was taken down during some maintenance on the light and not replaced. Though it doesn’t change the demands on drivers approaching the intersection, the city will replace it, he said.

  1. I know so, we have to yield when we turn on left on green.
By the way, I found wrong information about this left turn yield on green at Hawaii http://www.gohawaii.com/.
The problem is in Japanese page ” How to drive in Hawaii”
    http://www.gohawaii.jp/drive/information.html

In this page, Japanese inormation says
” Turn left Yield on green, left turn has priority against ongoing cars.”

This is wrong and meaning is upside down.

I sent suggestion by email to gohawaii .jp

This is horrible, you know, I am on vacation in Hawaii from tomorrow.
