Pumas tie Bellingham in second preseason game

The Kitsap Pumas tied Bellingham 1-1 on Saturday in the team’s second preseason match. Kyle Johnson scored for Kitsap, which led 1-0 at halftime. Dustyn Brim started in goal for the Pumas, while Zac Lubin played in the second half.

Coach James Ritchie said he changed his team’s formation in the second half and did some other experimenting with the lineup.

“This is the time to do it,” he said.

Ritchie said Bellingham scored in the second half on a “badly defended free kick.”

Kitsap has three more preseason games before their PDL opener May 4 at Vancouver:

April 21: Peninsula CC at Kitsap (Gordon Field)

April 24: Trinity Lutheran at Kitsap (Gordon Field)

April 29: Kitsap at St. Martins

Kitsap Pumas goal (Kyle Johnson) v. Bellingham United

Greg Miley played fantastic in the first half! Did not get to see much of Greg in second half as he was way on the opposite side of field.

New Puma Daniel Fabian is FAST and as good as advertised. Very nice young man – he’ll be a fan favorite.
