New blog dedicated to Kitsap Pumas

If you’re reading this blog entry, it means you’re interested in reading about the Kitsap Pumas, the local professional soccer team. That’s great, because I’m interesting in writing about them (I also get paid to write about them — as well as other stuff — for the Kitsap Sun.

The start of the 2012 Premier Development League season is about five weeks away, so the Pumas are still in the process of signing players. Goalkeeper Dustyn Brim, who joined the team in 2009, is the first player to sign for the upcoming season. He signed last week. Pumas coach James Ritchie said he’ll have some more player signings to announce here in a few days.

That’s all for now, but I hope this blog will be informative to readers and fans of the team. I also hope to have one of Kitsap’s players on board as a contributing writer to the blog. Hope to announce who that is soon as well. Trust me, he’s a fine writer.

Until the next post, please pass the word.

  1. CALLING ALL Kitsap Pumas S.C. FANS!!!
There will be a Pumas Supporter Groups Preseason Planning Meeting next Saturday, 31 March at 1:00 PM at the Clubhouse Bar and Grill at 332 National Ave in West Bremerton. The previous 3 seasons, Pumas supporter groups led by the Hellcats: Kitsap Noise for Pumas Boys and Kitsap Pumas Elite have held various functions to support our team including “Man of the Match” goody bags, players’ feed picnic and an end-of-the season picnic. We would like to step it up a notch this season and would like your input on increasing match-day atmosphere and other activities for the players and in assisting team management in promoting our team. The Clubhouse is a grill so there is an all-ages area, so everyone is welcomed.
