That is Ginny Thorpe with the two broken ankles!!! She and her husband Chet Thorpe were big time snow skiers, Chief Kitsap Ski School instructors and long-time members of the skiing club, Bremerton Ski Cruisers.
I remember I was a teenager when she broke her ankles. Skiing! As I recall she was pretty old when it happened. At least in her 70s. Perhaps older? (To a teenager she seems old. Ha ha.)
Obviously this photo shows her keeping her muscle tone up while her bones mended. If I recall correctly, the broken ankles ended her skiing.
