Cool Pink Flower by Kent Ferris
Here’s a secret, I am not a fan of pictures of flowers. I don’t hate them or anything, it just seems they are the easiest and most common subject matter and I get really bored of them. That being said (or more like confessed) I have a great appreciation for photos that show flowers in an interesting or unique point of view. This shot of Kent’s is just beautiful. Would I still have an appreciation for it without the added post-process texture? The frame does have have a lovely composition with the brilliant pink bloom in the corner but the added texture giving it the painterly effect and taking away the cluttered background really makes the photo stand-out.
