FRAMES: Photo Challenge #68: The FairAugust 20th, 2013 by Meegan Reid
Larry and I usually schedule our vacations around this week because we absolutely love to shoot the fair and rodeo! For a photographer, you’ve got everything right in front of you, high flying rodeo action, bright neon colors of the carnival rides, and of course cute kids snuggling animals.
So, your photo challenge this time, if you choose to accept it of course, is to show my your best photo taken at the Fair (which includes the rode and demolition derby).
Here’s the thing, I don’t care what fair you are photographing, sure the Kitsap County Fair is August 21-25th. and it is local and convenient, but if you have been to another awesome county fair (and by fair i mean the kind with 4H animals, cotton candy and a carnival) this summer and have an amazing photo, I will accept it. BUT IT MUST HAVE BEEN TAKEN THIS SUMMER.I does not matter what kind of camera you are using, by all mean if you are a hardcore iPhone photographer than show me your best instagram of an elephant ear etc.
Deadline is September 2nd. which gives you plenty of time to edit down your shots, do not send me 20 photos, send me 7 at the max.
NAMES NAMES NAMES NAMES! PUT YOUR NAME (REAL LIFE NAME) SOMEWHERE IN THE UPLOAD FORM OR IN THE EMAIL YOUR SEND ME- having to log into the user database and find names to match up with emails is a pain. TYPE YOUR NAME SOMEWHERE ON THE UPLOAD FORM!
You may email me your submissions at firstname.lastname@example.org or use the handy uploader on the right of this page that says” Upload Kitsap Frames Photo Challenges here.”
Stand-outs will be published in an upcoming edition of the Kitsap Sun.
As usual, here are some photos from our archives to get you thinking:
