FRAMES: Photo of the Day: A Bremerton Watercolor
November 22nd, 2012 by Meegan ReidI’ll admit that when I headed to work on Monday, I had a sneaky suspicion I would end up soaked all day.
Trying to postpone the inevitable I cruised through downtown Bremerton looking for a quick umbrella shot to go with a storm story. I parked along Pacific waiting for umbrellas to appear when I noticed how the rain was coming down so hard that it made everything outside my windshield look all painterly. I composed my shot and waited a good hour for the perfect red umbrella to appear…and I stayed all warm and dry in my car the whole time.
I then headed to Port Orchard to cover flooding where I got
drenched, water went over the top of my galoshes and my car stalled
out after driving through a lake on a freeway on ramp… but hey at
least I was dry for that one hour! ![]()

Great shot Meegan, and a good technique. Most of us just don’t have your patience!

Thanks Bob, it certainly helps when one is being paid to be patient.
