FRAMES: Photo Challenge #57: SilhouettesSeptember 19th, 2012 by Meegan Reid
All this sun and warm weather has me thinking I should get a silhouette challenge in before those gray clouds and rain drops return for the rest of the year.
So, your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to show me your best photo that includes a silhouette (definition: The dark shape and outline of someone or something visible against a lighter background).
Now, my co-photographer Larry is known for his compulsions to capture every single one he can find during every single assignment, I even have a theory that the guy dreams in sunsets and silhouettes. So get creative, and keep your eyes peeled for sunset silhouettes since those are usually the most eye popping and share your photos with us.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: October 5th, 2012.
***Be sure to include your real name somewhere on the photo upload form, be it in the description or title or uploaded by section.***
Chosen “Stand-Outs” will be published in an upcoming edition of the Kitsap Sun.
Rules and regulations will be posted at the end of this post.

***To recap: Every week or so we will post a new photography “challenge” to help build on all of our current photography skills and to encourage everyone to get out and get shooting (cameras not guns). While we encourage you to shoot the challenge in the week that it is assigned, we will begrudgingly accept entries taken prior to the challenge assignment date.
When you’ve got your favorite shot, login to the Kitsap Sun Your Media Site (if you don’t already have a login, you can quickly set it one up) or click the “Kitsap Frames Photo Challenge Entries” button over there on the right side of the page and upload your image to the Kitsap Frames Photo Challenge Channel (the channels run along the left hand side of the page, again if you can’t seem to get it into the channel just upload it normally and send me an email and we’ll move it).
