A proud momma, (That’s how she signed it.) wrote to tell us about her son, Mark Chavez, who is involved with a nationwide effort to clean up America.
He is part of Pick Up America, which was featured in ABC’s Persons of the Week segment just a couple of weeks ago.
Chavez, an Olympic High grad, is an idealistic sort. He tried to ride a longboard across America for peace. He’s now driving the bus back. The bus, by the way, is fueled by recycled vegetable oil.
