Billy Butler trade alive

November 20th, 2012 by terrybenish

So says Geoff Baker from the Times, this morning.

Lots of moving parts, trading pitching, Montero.

The Royals were 12th in runs scored at 676 to the Mariners 619. The Royals gave up 746 runs while the Mariners only gave up 651.

The Mariners won 75 games last year and the Royals 72. The Mariners are better now.

I don’t see how this makes Kansas City better. Pitching would help, but he is far and away their best hitter.

I do not get the premise that a basis exists for Kansas City to do this and improve.

Geoff’s piece is on the Times blog. Check it out.
