Chone Figgins is still a Mariner and other madness

Jeff Sullivan the peripatetic blogger from Lookoutlanding, fangraphs and Justin Leone fame has a great piece today. Follow the link.

I can not guild the lily but he does capture previously expressed sentiments.

This is day ten or twelve and Josh Hamilton is still not a Mariner, nor is Nick Swisher. The Mariners now have the largest stadium tv as noted yesterday. The team was quick to reassure its long term fans that the hydro races would still be shown. The PR guys did not ask manager Wedge or trader Jack for a comment.
