Mariner Sale?

October 11th, 2012 by terrybenish

Jason Churchill has a story out that suggests that a sale may be near or underway to John Stanton, CEO of Clearwire a cell phone company.

Churchill suggests that Stanton already a minority owner, would be bring back Pat Gillick who still has a home here in Seattle to take an overseer role between Zduriencik and the owners. Or any successor to Zduriencik.

Gillick’s MO has always been as a would be carpet bagger who comes into town and trades away every prospect in the system for a one or two year run and when it happens, he gets out of Dodge soon after. That approach would not seem to dovetail very well with Zduriencik.
